Matter of Colors

In this 3-dimensional platformer, make your way through a multitude of obstacles with the help of the red and blue colored platforms - but be careful, they can't both be activated at the same time!

Play a red can and a blue bottle, alternating them with a single input. Their goal is to reach the cooler at the end of the level but the abandoned hangar in which they end up will give them a tough time!

​

The game has a total of 5 levels (in 2 difficulty mode), each of which gets progressively more difficult, so be warned! There are secondary objectives in every level so try to get the best score by dying as few times as possible or by collecting all the cupcakes on each map!

​

Each level is unique, so discover new mechanics as you progress through the game and learn to use the colour switch with perfect timing!

Personal intention for the project :

For this project, I decided to take my summer vacation to make a game with the whole pipeline, and set myself a deadline.


The aim was to understand how to combine all the elements of a game in order to obtain something harmonious.


As an aspiring game designer, I find it very interesting to try to understand how the work of other fields will have to adapt to our intentions, and rapid prototyping allows me to better understand this situation.

​I also did playtests at the end of the project to improve it again and get constructive feedback on what I had done wrong or, in contrast, the project's positive aspects.
